About the Gut & Digestive Research Bundle UK

The gut is where the epithelial barrier, local inflammation and nerve signalling all meet, and this bundle groups three peptides studied across exactly those layers. BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide based on a sequence first described in gastric juice, and one of the most widely studied peptides in gastrointestinal and tissue-repair research. KPV is the Lys-Pro-Val tripeptide from the C-terminal end of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, investigated in intestinal epithelial and inflammatory models. VIP, vasoactive intestinal peptide, is a naturally occurring 28-amino-acid neuropeptide found throughout the digestive tract and studied through its VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors.

VIP: VIP is studied through VPAC receptor signalling in gastrointestinal, smooth-muscle, vascular and immune systems, and in a mouse model of induced colitis it reduced both the clinical and tissue-level severity of intestinal inflammation while lowering inflammatory cytokines including TNF-alpha, IL-1 and IL-6 (Learn more).
